Started Door to Door, Built on Referrals
John Reyes came to New Jersey from Colombia and spent years learning the painting trade before starting Paint Plus in 2013. He built the business the hard way: knocking on doors, taking on exterior jobs, and earning enough trust that homeowners started inviting him inside.
That personal touch is still how we work. John meets you, walks the project and writes up the scope himself, and he is on site with the crew. As customers kept asking for more, Paint Plus grew from painting into carpentry and full remodeling: kitchens, bathrooms, basements and custom woodwork across Morris and Somerset County.

Amazing experience with this team! We had a few interior rooms get painted and the team was exceptional. Extremely professional, punctual and always on time, very hard working and detail oriented. They cleaned up after each day and took such great care of our home! We trusted them at the house and did such great work! We love the colors and trim, it came out beautifully! We will definitely be using them in future for more house projects!
We had Paint + recently do a big job at our house. They painted multiple rooms, added wallpaper, installed a custom wood beam on a 20 ceiling and added picture frame molding throughout a stairwell and hallway. We are beyond happy with how everything came out! I got multiple estimates prior to hiring them, and they were very competitive on pricing. John took time to outline the scope of the project and explain exactly what the job entailed every step of the way. We had multiple children and dogs at our house while they did the work. The entire crew was extremely friendly and made my entire family comfortable while they were there for multiple days. I will 100% be using them again!

I recently hired Paint + and I could not be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, the owner was incredibly honest and never tried to upsell me on things I didn’t need. Their prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering the level of care and quality that went into the work. The entire crew that worked on my kitchen was professional, kind, and very tidy. When it came to painting the cabinets, they went above and beyond. They removed all of the cabinet doors and brought them back to their warehouse to be properly primed and painted using specialized paint sprayers. At my home, they meticulously prepared the entire kitchen—sealing every inch with plastic so that only the cabinet boxes were exposed. They also used the same professional sprayers in my home to prime and paint the cabinet boxes, which gave everything a beautiful, smooth finish. Each day they carefully laid down new protectors on my floors and countertops to make sure nothing was damaged. In addition to the cabinet painting, they removed my old backsplash, installed new sheetrock, and put in a brand-new backsplash. The attention to detail throughout the entire process was incredible. I’m absolutely in love with the results and so glad I chose this company. I highly recommend Paint + to anyone looking for high-quality work and a professional, trustworthy team.

We are based in Wharton, NJ and work across Morris and Somerset County: Morristown, Chatham, Mendham, Randolph, Denville, Mountain Lakes, Bernardsville, Basking Ridge, Bedminster and Far Hills, as well as nearby Short Hills. If you are close by and not sure, just call.
It depends on the size of the space, the condition of the surfaces and the materials you choose. Prep work is the biggest variable in painting, and fixtures and finishes are the biggest in a remodel. Every estimate is free and on site, and you get a written quote before any work starts.
