Kitchen Remodeling Contractors in Morris County, NJ

Remodeled kitchen with gray cabinets, a white island and wide-plank wood floors

A Kitchen Remodel, Run by One Team

Most kitchen projects that go wrong do so between trades: the counter people waiting on the cabinet people, the painter waiting on everyone. Paint Plus runs the whole job and keeps it moving. Our own crew does the demolition, drywall, carpentry, tile and painting, and we coordinate the countertop install around our work so nobody is left waiting.

That also means one quote, one schedule and one person to call. John Reyes, who owns the company, scopes every kitchen himself.

Refresh or Full Remodel?

Not every kitchen needs to be gutted. There are really two kinds of project:

  • A refresh keeps your cabinets, paints them with a sprayed finish, and changes what dates the room: the backsplash, the counters, the hardware, sometimes the floor. It is faster and far less expensive, and in many kitchens you would not guess the cabinets were original.
  • A full remodel replaces the cabinets, and often the layout, along with everything else. It makes sense when the boxes are damaged, the storage does not work or you want an island where there is none.

We will tell you honestly which one your kitchen is. The before and after above was a refresh: the original cabinets were painted, and the backsplash wall was opened, rebuilt and tiled.

What Our Customers Have Had Done

Real kitchen projects from our reviews give a good sense of the range. One family had their cabinets painted, the backsplash, countertops and floors replaced, and said the kitchen “looks brand new”. Another had the old backsplash torn out, new drywall put up and a new backsplash set, alongside sprayed cabinets. We have also installed new cabinetry in laundry rooms, with the same care as a kitchen.

Living With a Kitchen Remodel

You can stay in the house. We seal the kitchen off, protect the floors between it and the door we use, and clean up every day. The part families find hardest is being without a kitchen, so we plan the order of work to keep that stretch as short as the scope allows, and we tell you in advance which days the kitchen is fully out of use.

One Crew, the Whole Kitchen

  • Cabinets Painted or Replaced

Keep solid cabinets and give them a sprayed finish, or take them out and install new ones. We will tell you which makes sense.

  • Countertops

Old laminate or dated stone out, new counters in, with the sink and cooktop cutouts planned around your appliances.

  • Backsplash

Old tile and damaged drywall removed, the wall rebuilt flat and new tile set, from classic subway to large-format slabs.

  • Flooring

Worn tile or vinyl replaced with new flooring that runs cleanly under the toe kicks and into the rooms next door.

  • Islands, Hutches and Built-Ins

A new island, a built-in hutch or a coffee and wine station, built and finished by our own carpenters to match the kitchen.

  • Walls, Ceilings and Trim

The kitchen gets painted by the same crew at the end, so there is no waiting on a separate painter to finish the room.

Common Questions About This Service

Not always. If the cabinet boxes are solid and the layout works, painting them and changing the counters, backsplash and floors transforms the kitchen for much less. If the layout does not work or the cabinets are damaged, we replace them. We will tell you which is the better spend.

A refresh with painted cabinets, a new backsplash and new counters is a much shorter job than a full tear-out with new cabinets and floors, and counter templating and fabrication add waiting time between steps. Your written quote lays out the schedule for your scope.

Yes, most families do. The work area is sealed off from the rest of the house, floors outside the kitchen are protected and we clean up at the end of each day. Setting up a temporary coffee and microwave spot in another room helps a lot.

We handle the construction and finish work. If your project moves plumbing or adds electrical, it needs licensed trades and permits, and we will tell you up front what your scope requires so it is in the plan and the price.

Yes. We remove the old tile, repair or replace the drywall behind it so the new tile sits flat, and set the new backsplash. It is one of the quickest ways to update a kitchen.

Yes. We walk through cabinet colors, tile and counter combinations with you, and John will give you his honest opinion on what works in your space.

By scope: whether cabinets are painted or replaced, the counter material, the tile, the flooring and any layout changes. You get a written quote with each part listed, so you can decide where to spend.
